Big Endeavor (BE) is made for people who understand that life and the living of it is the greatest adventure ever, and that using one's life to expand oneself is what life is for. Who care deeply about developing themselves, and through that practice, contribute to the betterment of our world. Who are ready to join in a community that is serious about living life full, and about using our collective capability to advance our world and ourselves as human beings.
Here are some of our core beliefs:
"How each person journeys in life is unique, and this infinite kaleidoscope of uniqueness creates the illusion of difference.
While there is great good in the varied nature of human experience, there is also great division that comes from it.
Big Endeavor reminds us of our essential sameness as the starting point for all we do."
~ Rebecca Reynolds, BE Founder
Humans are inspired most by the impossible. This means that thinking big and believing we can have our heart's desire is exactly the fuel people need to do great things, and to feel enlivened rather than deadened in our lives. Going for large-scale change is often more successful than staying smaller.
Content is always secondary to Process. This means that what is changing is less important than where it is in the cycle of change; we change with greater ease when we've mastered the change process.
Change is growth and growth is life. This means that the better at using the dynamics of change we get, the more we are able learn. This is as true for a single human being as it is for humans as a species.
Life is the curriculum. This means there is learning for us in everything, if we know how to notice and use it.
Humans learn best by doing. This means that we truly know we have mastered something when it is exhibited effortlessly in our behavior.
All humans are here to learn the same basic things. This means that, no matter how much we think we differ from one another, we share the same essential purpose here: to deepen our experience of being human. And this is our shared mission for as long as we draw breath.
Nothing big is ever done alone. This means that our greatest achievements compel us to work together, to build webs of relationships, to learn from our various perspectives.
