The BE Practicum

Picture

Leadership today is being redefined. The old “command and control” model is being replaced by collective leadership, marked by shared decision-making and accountability. This type of leadership is recognized as accessing the wisdom of many perspectives and thereby creating lasting results. It is no longer enough to get something done; leaders are now being measured by how effectively they inspire and facilitate others’ growth and achievement.
The world today needs big, integrative thinkers, capable of bringing many diverse viewpoints together in effective processes to create innovative and adaptive solutions. In short, to lead large-scale change.

This type of leadership is mastered, not in the classroom or by reading biographies or studying simulations, but in the act of leading complex change in real situations. The BE Practicum offers this dynamic and highly effective learning opportunity - beginning in 2019.

The BE Practicum comes to you.

Your workplace is the learning environment; your people are the learners; your endeavor and its issues are the curriculum.

The Practicum uses pioneering methods in project design and execution to transform conventional problem thinking into mastery-level leadership capability. These methods are facilitated by skilled Practicum teams, assembled to match the endeavor requirements and the endeavor owner’s capabilities.

Practicum teams companion endeavor owner teams to achieve leadership development advancement across seven core competencies, while creating innovative solutions to complex problems.

The Practicum is based on 25 years’ experience developing hundreds of large-scale change efforts using this “learn-by-doing” approach. This approach is 100% effective in advancing the project leaders, but also in developing leadership capability among all those involved in the project, resulting in increased morale, greater efficiency, and enduring solutions.
