The BE Modules

The BE Change curriculum offers three tracks, each of which contains modules that advance practitioners in multi-disciplinary competencies necessary to working with change. Learners engage the BE Change curriculum at their own pace and in the sequence that serves their needs. BE material is highly experiential and practical. Learners begin with discovery of the BE change concepts and models, applying to their own situations (DISCOVER), then progress to explicit application to a group change project (APPLY), and finally strive to embody BE methods and practice in real-time large-scale change endeavors (EMBODY).

Following are descriptions of some of the modules that are being launched starting in 2017.

Mechanics of Change Modules

The Cycle of Change Learn the four iterative stages of change, how to recognize them and use each to advance and increase the change outcome.

The Change Magnitude Factors Learn the four factors that determine the scale of the change; how to assess the change using them, as well as explore the possibility of expanding the endeavor!

Change Companion
Modules

Companioning Change How does this relate to other practitioners working with change?  What are the unique principles and attributes of this role?

The Companion's Process While each change context is unique, the BE process is repeatable. Learn the Companion's phases by applying them to various scales and situations.

The Landscape Map Being able to map the endeavor, including its vision, its context and key milestones, is the beginning. The bigger the vision, the more important this becomes. This module explores how to facilitate a group (of any scale) through the BE mapping process.

Developing the Seven The Companion not only knows the change process, but also ways that the Seven can enhance or detract from it. This module supports the learners to use BE Seven Modules in specific scenarios to expand capability and achieve more of the change.

Seven Core Capabilities Modules

The Seven Introduced The BE Seven are rooted in years of experience and study, and are found in all cultures and ages. Learn their background and application, and how to assess them in yourself and others.

The Seven Applied One module on each of the Seven explores how to notice it in oneself and in group change. Each of the Seven has associated BE models to be used in developing the Seven in change projects.

The Seven in Groups All endeavors depend on core capabilities and resources for their success. This module hones the skill of assessing the capacity that the endeavor will require is fundamental to taking an idea from concept to creation.
